My dear Riley, I am so excited that I get to be your auntie. We all love you very much. We prayed for you to join our family for so long. You are a very lucky little boy to have such wonderful parents. You are your Mommy's biggest dream come true. You have a very fun and sweet Daddy. We thank God for you, sweet baby.

Gender Issues

Recently I was going through the check-out line at walmart with Kendall. The cashier made a comment about my darling little girl (I agree with this part) and then went on to tell my that people think that she's lucky to have three boys because girls are harder and they're so snotty. I've also had people ask me if Gary was disappointed we didn't have a boy.
Does this
 look like
a disappointed man to you?

My SIL is pregnant with a boy. When she shared the news several people replied with sighs of disappointment. My point is that people need to be careful with what they say and how they say it. I love my little girl so much and it hurts me to hear people make negative statements about parenting girls. My SIL is thrilled to be having a son (and I am to be having a nephew) and it hurts her when people imply a girl would have been better. I have the child that God wanted me to have. She is exactly as He intended. That's what matters. I would love any child that the Lord chooses for me to have NO MATTER WHAT! That's the beauty of a parents love. It's unconditional.
